Simple Principles of Online Sessions
Our experience has shown that, by observing a number of simple principles, online work
conferences save time and energy while keeping your employees safe from the coronavirus.
In an online meeting, all participants should have their cameras turned on. Turning your
camera off would be no different than if you left an in-person meeting without warning.
There is one and only appropriate place to join an online meeting: from your work desk.
Thus, avoid participating in online meetings from your car, a bus, inside an elevator, or while taking a walk. Moreover, you should use a desktop computer, or a laptop, instead of a
mobile phone which mostly results in shaky and distracting video images.
Even if you are participating from home, you should wear proper business attire, just as
you would for an in-person meeting. In some cases, even a suit and dress shoes would be
appropriate.
